About Me
I am a woman of many faces. I am a wife, a
mother, a lawyer, and a number of other things. While I take pride in each of
these titles, I've recently had a revelation. I’ve realized how deceived I've
been to place such value on temporal things.
You see, I love that God has guided me down
this path, this journey that I've been on. I've been able to witness the
intersectionality of our world. I've learned new skills and met people who I
would have never known otherwise. However, instead of reflecting on my experiences,
I’ve been focusing on my identity. I had been making the mistake of identifying
myself with my career. A legal career felt important, but really, it’s not. It
never was.
I will probably always take some pride in my
role as a wife, mother, and lawyer. Yet each of these pales in comparison to my
most cherished of all titles. I am a daughter of the Most High King. I would
trade everything else away to remain in so esteemed a position.
That is what's important.
That is who I am.
